Hides the cruelty
Harmful comments vanish automatically. The kind ones stay. You never have to read the worst of it.
And honestly? Izzy isn't perfect — no filter is. Sometimes a cruel comment slips through; occasionally something kind gets hidden by mistake (one click brings it back). What Izzy promises isn't perfection — it's that you no longer face the flood alone.
Why I built this
Visibility has always been important to me. As a gender-non-conforming person, it mattered to me to be seen — to show people you can live your life authentically, and that if I can do it, maybe so can they.
But being different can paint you as a target. With visibility comes hateful comments and brigading, and it's felt much more acute recently, with LGBTQ+ communities coming under fire from bigots in high places.
I used to want to fight these people. But fighting just gave them the attention they didn't deserve — the best tactic was to ignore them. That's why I wrote Izzy: to take care of the hate, so that neither I nor my followers see any of the abuse thrown at us.
