Data Deletion

Last updated: 11 August 2026

Izzy is a comment-moderation tool for a Facebook Page. The only personal data it stores is information about comments left on that Page — the comment text, the commenter’s name (where Facebook provides it), Facebook identifiers, Izzy’s classification of the comment, and — for image comments — a written description of what the image showed. Izzy does not store images themselves. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.

How to request deletion

To have Izzy delete the data it holds about your comments, contact us with enough detail to identify them (for example, the Page, and the approximate date or text of the comment):

privacy@izzyprotects.com

If you connected a Facebook account to Izzy and removed the app in your Facebook settings, Facebook sends us your deletion request automatically — you'll receive a confirmation code and a status link from Facebook, and no email is needed.

We will delete the matching records from Izzy’s database, and from its backups as they rotate. To make the deletion durable, we keep only the comment’s Facebook identifier — not its text or the commenter’s name — so that Izzy does not re-collect the same comment the next time it reads the Page. We aim to action requests within 30 days.
