Data Deletion
Last updated: 6 June 2026
Izzy is a comment-moderation tool for a Facebook Page. The only personal data it stores is information about comments left on that Page — the comment text, the commenter’s name (where Facebook provides it), Facebook identifiers, and Izzy’s classification of the comment. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
How to request deletion
To have Izzy delete the data it holds about your comments, contact us with enough detail to identify them (for example, the Page, and the approximate date or text of the comment):
We will delete the matching records from Izzy’s database, and from its backups as they rotate. To make the deletion durable, we keep only the comment’s Facebook identifier — not its text or the commenter’s name — so that Izzy does not re-collect the same comment the next time it reads the Page. We aim to action requests within 30 days.
What deletion does and doesn’t do
- It removes the comment’s record from Izzy.
- It does not delete the comment from Facebook — only Facebook, or the comment’s author, can do that.
- If a comment was hidden, deleting Izzy’s record does not by itself unhide it on Facebook; mention in your request if you’d like it unhidden too.
